SECTORS WE SERVE
We’ve been offering strategic marketing services for more than 20 years and over that time we’ve been able to work with small mom-and-pop retail outlets, integrated public service organizations, large international publishing houses and everything in between.
We are proud of our partnership with many community organizations, including non-profits and social services providers. We also have extensive experience in the public sector and have worked with clients in industries such as:
• Schools & school boards
• Educational leadership
• Wholesale & retail
The true value in working with Blueprint is found in the relationships we build
It is through a partnership — based on mutual trust, understanding and respect — that we can develop the services and tools that will exceed your expectations.
You know your business. We know ours. When we work together, we will create something that is far greater than what we could do on own.
Aad’s background is in business management and marketing. He graduated in Business Administration in Eindhoven, Holland and worked for KLM Dutch Airlines and ran a successful design firm in Europe before immigrating to Canada in 1997 as project manager for the International Festival of Arts. Aad and his wife, Jeanette Obbink, founded Blueprint Agencies (formerly Blueprint IT Works) more than 20 years ago.
Aad’s ability to listen to a client’s needs, understand their business and provide solutions that work influences everything the Blueprint team does. He pairs more than 20 years of experience in strategic marketing with a unique combination of design, web development and content management expertise. Aad is also a certified FileMaker partner, able to bring powerful database solutions to projects of any size.
Director, Business Development
Tim takes a client-focused approach to his work at Blueprint. Before joining the team in 2017, he spent many years in the marketing department of one of our clients. His work there included developing a comprehensive new website and intranet, managing large, complex print projects, purchasing promotional products and overall brand management. His involvement on that side of the desk gives him a great perspective on how Blueprint can best serve clients’ needs.
A natural problem-solver, Tim enjoys sitting down with clients to identify their needs and to develop solutions that will help them expand their reach. A stickler for details, he walks alongside clients to see the entire project through to its successful completion.
Dan leads Blueprint’s in-house programming team. He joined Blueprint in 2011, after making the jump across the pond from England to start a new adventure in Canada. Prior to joining Blueprint, Dan spent ten years as an Analyst Programmer for the University of Kent, maintaining and developing the Student Data and Administration systems of the University, and honed his attention to detail during ten years as a Jet Technician in the Royal Air Force.
Under Dan’s leadership our programmers deliver effective, customized solutions that make the best use of the best technologies available.
Accounting & Promotional Products Manager
To describe Debbie as just the accountant is a true understatement. She manages all of Blueprint’s internal operations and as Chief Herder of Cats, keeps a keen, but wary eye on what happens in the office. Debbie is often the first point of contact when someone calls or visits, and she handles the nitty-gritty financial aspects of client accounts.
Debbie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching NASCAR, salsa dancing, and drinking a nice Pinot Grigio at the trailer. Debbie’s favourite quotes are: Live life to its fullest / Be who you want to be there are no limits / Everything happens for a reason / Live, Love, Laugh and Dream. Her bottom line is: HAPPINESS.
An accomplished artist whose works grace the halls of Blueprint’s offices, Jeanette leads our award-winning creative team. She has a BA in Fine Arts, a teaching degree and more than 25 years of experience as a graphic designer.
Effective design is more than just pretty pictures. Jeanette’s strength lies not just in her expertise with paint brush and computer stylus, but in her understanding of how a brand is integral to telling an organization’s story.
Bringing a breadth of international graphics and fine arts experience, Jeanette sets the creative bar for our projects and, lucky for us, our office environment.
Senior Graphic & UX Designer
Kathryn has been a part of the Blueprint team for 10 years. From initial concept to execution, she develops unique and comprehensive designs for clients’ use across various print and digital media. With a passion for User Experience design, her goal is to solve problems while creating digital experiences that enhance the user’s experience.
She always strives to stay current and looks to the latest design trends for inspiration. Kathryn has a background in Art Fundamentals from Sheridan College, a Graphic Design Diploma from Mohawk College and is a certified User Experience Designer. She brings 15 years of experience demonstrating how effective web design incorporates both design and functionality.
Kyle joined Blueprint in May 2018 and specializes in finding solutions that are catered specifically to client’s needs. A jack of all digital trades, Kyle can quickly identify which tools are the best fit for a client.
Once the solution is developed, Kyle will sit—both literally and virtually—at the client’s side as they begin using their new platform, demonstrating how to post, organize, remove, or edit content and manage all the features and functionality of the site.
Kyle takes the mystery out of using SEO and social media to promote traffic (and business) to your website. By staying on top of emerging trends and search algorithms, Kyle works with clients to ensure their goals are met, whether they be page impressions, e-commerce sales, or community engagement.
Front End Developer
Josh’s education and experience make him a perfect fit for the web development work we do here at Blueprint. After working on his engineering degree at McMaster University, he crossed the street to Mohawk College where he studied computer science and software development. Beyond the bits and bytes of programming, he picked up skills and know-how about the business side of things while interning as a marketing manager.
A coffee aficionado and church youth group leader, Josh enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding and spending his time with his young daughter, a frequent and welcome guest to our Zoom staff meetings.
