The Future of Online Events
December 16, 2021

Almost everyone has had to switch to a more virtual way of doing things. This pandemic pivot also affected schools, which were used to having large gatherings to promote programs. To manage the Halton District School Board’s Future that Fits Program Exploration events, Blueprint created a website that hosted a virtual fair.

The site – afuturethatfits.ca -- provided information about the SHSM, OYAP, Dual Credit and other Specialty Programs offered by the Board. More importantly, it hosted breakout rooms that allowed students to talk with the teachers who manage these programs.

The events were set up so students could find the program information and breakout sessions from both a list of schools and a list of sectors. More than 1,500 students participated in the events, which were held over three days.

“The Future that Fits site allowed us to interact with thousands of students at once. Blueprint turned our vision into a dynamic online event, and they provided all the support we needed to focus on working with the students, not the technology.”
